In 2024, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, as well as the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the sister city relationship between Xiamen and Nice, the Special Screenings of Golden Rooster Film Festival in Nice, which is part of the Golden Rooster “All Year Round” Activities Series, was inaugurated in Nice, France on July 12, 2024.

This event is led by Fujian Film Bureau, organized by Xiamen Film Bureau, co-organized by Xiamen Film Festival Co., Ltd, and supported by Nice City Hall. This event will successively present three outstanding Chinese films:  Chang An (2023), Ping Pong: The Triumph (2023) and He is My Brother (2023), with the aim of deepening cooperation and exchanges between the twin cities and injecting new vitality into the development of the film industry.

The Special Screenings of the Golden Rooster Film Festival have attracted attention and been covered by many media, such as the Global Times, People’s Daily Online International and The Paper. The original Chinese animated film Chang An was screened as the opening film. The connotation and artistic charm of traditional Chinese culture in the film have been enthusiastically received by French audiences.

As the executive partner of the organization for this event, ACCE has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the operating company of China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival – Xiamen Film Festival Co., Ltd., committing to building a bridge of collaboration between film professionals and film festivals in China and Europe.
