The China Documentary Festival was upgraded after the successful five sessions of the Beijing Documentary Week. In August 2023, four screenings were held in Paris and Berlin, showing two documentary works, In Pursuit of Light and The River in Me.

ACCE and Berlin NewGen, as the overseas executive team for the special screenings, aim to promote humanistic documentaries with universal values and foster multicultural exchanges through movies.
